Leading One Person at a Time
Presented by Robert Boucher
Over the past four years during my presentations on leadership, a recurring topic has been what we do with the exceptional employee – the very capable person who is bored and at times disruptive or just not doing the work.
This one-day program is not a quick solution but about steps you can take. By fulfilling all of the Five Senses – Sense of Purpose, Sense of Belonging, Sense of Control, Sense of Harmony and Sense of Just Rewards – you can resolve the problem and have an enjoyable, productive workplace.
In addition to the Five Senses, other topics covered are:
- Responsibilities and roles
- Knowing the abilities and gifts of the staff
- Knowing your own strengths
- Building trust
- Steps to take with new staff
- Steps to take with a job change
- Steps to take with an over-achiever
- Steps to take with an under-achiever
- Evaluation and where it leads
- Conflict resolution
- Letting a person go
Course participants will provide case studies, to be submitted ahead of time for review. Each session will be limited to 20 people to enable in-depth discussion of the topics and case studies.
Also available to participants at an additional cost is a coaching program with an end-of- year review of the program on the Internet.
